District Kaiserslautern (ots) - An accident escape was reported to the police from Morlautern on Sunday. A young woman discovered the damage in the afternoon: Her BMW had scratches on the front bumper and on the left wheel arch. Since she said she had not caused an accident, she suspected that another vehicle was responsible for the damage.
The 21-year-old says that she parked the car the evening before, in a parking space marked to the side at Willy-Brandt-Platz in Kaiserslautern, with the front of the vehicle facing the town hall. On Sunday night she left Willy-Brandt-Platz in her car and parked it at around 02:30 am near her parents' property in the area “Am Obergarten” / “Zur Geißdell” in Morlautern, parallel to the cemetery wall.
The 21-year-old was sure that the damage had not yet occurred the evening before when she parked the car on Williy-Brand-Platz. After the vehicle was examined by the patrol, it was found that the damage to the vehicle could not have occurred during the night in Morlautern. External causation is still possible.
Witnesses who observed the accident or who can provide information are asked to contact the Kaiserslautern police on 0631 369-2150. | elz
