Wöllstein (ots) - On September 06.09.2020th, 21 at around 412 p.m. there was a major traffic accident between four vehicles involved. Here, a bus with passengers drove the L420 to turn left at the junction with the B18 in the direction of Wöllstein. In doing so, he disregarded the right of way of an 18-year-old car driver coming from the direction of Wöllstein. He tried to evade to the right, but nevertheless collided with the rear of the bus and subsequently with a car parked behind the bus. Due to the force of the impact, this car was pushed onto another vehicle behind it. A total of four people from two of the cars involved were slightly injured in the accident. Three of them were taken to surrounding hospitals by the ambulance service. The occupants of the bus and the third car were uninjured. Two cars were no longer ready to drive and had to be towed away. On the basis of evidence from witnesses, the police are also checking whether the XNUMX-year-old was driving at excessive speed in his car.
The Wöllstein, Gau-Bickelheim and Eckelsheim fire brigades recorded leaking equipment, cordoned off the accident site and illuminated the location during the accident recording. Furthermore, the rescue service with 4 ambulances, a rescue helicopter and a chief emergency doctor were on site.
For the duration of the rescue and clean-up work, the B420 had to be completely closed for approx. 2 hours.
