On the 14th matchday of the Landesliga Süd, our second team had their only derby this season. The guests from Altenwald were tied with us before the match day and so you could assume a close game.

The initial phase mostly took place in the middle third of the field. So the first chance of the game was only registered after 25 minutes, when a shot of the guests in the five-meter room could still be clarified. Altenwald was lucky two minutes later and took the lead after a failed defense. The first big chance for the "Zwädd" had Julian Fernsner after 0 minutes, but failed alone in front of the goal by the opposing goalkeeper. After 1 minutes the Wambe was awarded a penalty, which was shot very weakly and kept without effort. In the 31th minute, Tim Leinenweber was able to dust after a goalkeeper mistake to equalize 38-45. In added time, Julian Fernsner still had the chance to take the lead with a long-range shot, but the ball did not find its way into the goal.

The second round started like the first. Many duels in midfield and few compelling goals. The "Zwädd" was the somewhat better team and had a great chance to take the lead through Manuel Niebergall after 63 minutes, which was, however, forgiven. Much worth mentioning did not happen until the final whistle and so it remained the just draw.

In a brisk state league game, more would have been possible if the chances had been better exploited. But the bottom line was a performance-based draw. Now there are games until the winter break in which you should score in the fight for relegation. However, this will not be a sure-fire success. The next chance to score is on Sunday at SV Saar 05 Saarbrücken 2.
