On the 17th and last matchday of the year, the second team received the league leader of the Landesliga Süd, SV Walpershofen. In the first leg you missed something countable to take with you. You could change this this time.
The game did not start at all according to the match plan of the "Zwädd". After just four minutes, the guest led 0-1 after a corner kick. Jonas Elgas made up for it after ten minutes with a nice loupe. The Wambe played too badly in the first half. The league leaders were able to take the lead with 23: 1 in the 2rd minute. You weren't poisonous enough in the duels and often just ran after them. With 1: 2 it went into the half.
Just like at the start of the game, Walpershofen was able to score early. This time through a justified penalty kick (50th). Jonas Fernsner was able to reduce the score to 61: 2 in the 3st minute, before the guest was able to increase the score to 2: 4 again with a long-range shot. A fast-paced game developed. Many spectators thought the game would have gone with the 2: 4, but again Jonas Fernsner scored with a long-range shot (68). The "Zwädd" wanted to take advantage of the table leader's uncertainty. After 71 minutes, Aldo Testa put a free kick into the far corner to equalize 4: 4. The Wambe fought for every ball until the end. There was little opposition from the league leaders and so it was a 4: 4 draw.
A deserved draw due to the second half. Also because Walpershofen did not score a single goal, but only benefited from gross mistakes on our part. This game somewhat reflects the second team's first half of the season. In the first half, there was simply too little effort and willingness to fight, without which it is simply not possible in this league. We have to push ourselves to the limit in every game. After a hearty half-time address from the coaches Woll and Eiler, you could see a different face. Much more focused and with fewer mistakes. However, this has to be in the minds of the players right from the start, and not only after the coaches have stopped playing. Now it's time to be proud of a successful first half of the season and to recover from the injuries during the winter break.
