On Monday, a hitherto unknown perpetrator tried to set fire to a Deutsche Bahn multiple unit at Neunkirchen station. Attentive train personnel were able to identify and extinguish the small fire in good time.
At around 19:50 p.m., the police said that the unknown perpetrator (s) tried to set fire to the regional train 33630 in Neunkircher Bahnhof.
For this, the perpetrator set fire to a plastic handle below a bench. The railcar driver put out the fire in time.
At the time of the fire, there were five to six passengers on the train who are considered important witnesses. Therefore, the police are asking for witnesses who have suspected persons or perceptions in the area of the station, platform 2, to contact the criminal detention service on 0681 / 962-2133.
