In the first six months of 2020, sales increased by 6,5 percent compared to the same period in the previous year. The number of employees increased by 1,6 percent in the same period. According to the statisticians, almost all branches of the construction industry posted sales growth compared to the previous year. In building construction, sales rose by 2020 percent in June 2019 compared to June 9,9 and in civil engineering by 10,2 percent. Among the branches of the economy with the highest turnover within the entire construction trade, the trade “demolition work and preparatory construction site work” recorded particularly high increases in turnover with an increase of 23,5 percent, as well as underground engineering and sewage treatment plant construction with an increase of 17,4 percent. In the construction of roads and railways, there was the lowest increase in sales at 5,9 percent compared to the same month last year.
