Kaiserslautern (ots) - The police were able to prevent two drunk driving on Thursday night.
On Fruchthallstrasse, the officers met a 44-year-old who was about to rent an e-scooter with his cell phone. They smelled his alcohol, so the police checked him. A breath alcohol test showed 0,57 per thousand. He was banned from driving. To prevent him from renting more e-scooters, his cell phone was confiscated. The man was able to pick it up on an empty stomach the next day.
Less than half an hour later, the police met two heavily drunk men on Moltkestrasse. The officers wanted to subject her to a personal check, whereupon one of the two fled. He could no longer be found through the patrol.
The other could no longer articulate himself properly. It was hardly possible for him to stand straight. The breath alcohol test gave him a value of 0,83 per thousand.
The 45-year-old was not allowed to ride his bike due to the unsafe movement and other already opened bottles of alcohol. As a precaution, the air was let out of the tires. | elz
