Our U19 were able to score three points in the derby against JFG Saarlouis / Dillingen at the weekend, and the U17 were also successful in Koblenz. The U15, however, suffered a defeat against Koblenz.
Our A-Juniors won the Regionalliga home game and Saar-Derby against JFG Saarlouis / Dillingen 3-0 on Saturday. Our team got better into the game on the artificial turf in Spiesen and put pressure on the opponent early on. This quickly gave rise to the first great opportunities, but Philipp Kiefer failed first with a header and then with his foot at the opposing goalkeeper. On the defensive, our team was safe and practically did not allow any compulsory actions by the opponent, but over time the game also flattened a bit forward. After two player changes, our team was able to build up more pressure again and then take the important lead shortly before the break. After an attack on the right by Fabio Lanfranco and Philipp Kiefer, Anton Ziegler came to a central conclusion, first thundered the ball against the crossbar, but was able to use the rebound with a head to lead to 1-0 (43.). In the next attack, Grischa Walzer extended the ball forward to Maurice Schnell, who was able to insert the second post to make it 2-0 (44th). After the break, our U19 could have increased even further, but missed the next chances through Simon Hauk, among others. Once the guests from Saarlouis came well in front of the SVE goal, but our keeper Florian Barth held strong. The end of the game was finally set in the last regular minute of the game by Simon Hauk after a brief corner kick and Maurice Schnell's cross with his head to make it 3-0 (90 '). "Overall, a clear, well-deserved victory," said coach Daniel Demmerle: "But we still have to improve in terms of play."
The next game of our A-Juniors will take place next Saturday, September 20th, at 13.00 p.m. against FSV Offenbach.
Our B-Juniors celebrated a narrow but deserved 1-0 win in the Regionalliga away game against TuS Koblenz, especially after the second half. The game in Koblenz on Sunday was hard-fought and balanced, especially in the first half. Both teams performed well - only no goals were scored yet. After changing sides, however, our boys turned up a lot more and were now clearly superior. So there were more and more chances to score, but they did not lead to success at first. Only ten minutes before the end of the game was the redeeming goal when Lukas Allhof sank the ball in the opposing box to make it 1-0 after a nice dribble (70th). "We have to use some of our scoring chances earlier to decide the game," said coach Kai Decker, but also praised: "It was a great physical performance by our boys."
The next game of our U17s will take place this Sunday, September 20th. Then our team receives the JFG Saarlouis / Dillingen for their home game at 15.30 p.m.
Our C-Juniors had to travel home from Koblenz on Saturday without points. In the Regionalliga away game, our U15 lost 0-4 in the end. Our team actually got into the game well and had a great chance of taking the lead. After a good pass into the top, the opposing goalkeeper went alone, but the finish landed just next to the goal. Even after that, there were two other great opportunities for our team, but they did not lead to success. Not so with the host: David Girmann made it 16-34 for TuS with his brace (2./0.). After the break, Koblenz took advantage of two mistakes and was only able to score two more goals by Luca Wehner after a too short back pass from our boys and then after a mistake in the back four to make it 4-0 (38th / 55th). "A well-deserved victory in Koblenz, they were more snappy, focused and also more alert than us in many situations and took advantage of our mistakes," said coach Sebastian Schummer. "We couldn't build on the strong second half from the previous week against Kaiserslautern, even if we had several great chances in the course of the game to score ourselves and give the game a different direction."
Next weekend our U15s will face another difficult task: In the home game, the team will meet the top team of 19. FSV Mainz 14.30 on Saturday, September 1 at 05 p.m.
