The FrauenElv showed a fitting reaction to the disappointing 2-2 at TuS Wörrstadt in the Regionalliga Südwest. In a duel between two promoters, the team of coach Kai Klankert prevailed against FFV Fortuna Göcklingen 7-0 (3-0).
Compared to the game in Wörrstadt, injured captain Sarah Franz and Lena Reiter, who was suspended for two games after her red card, had to be replaced, but Elisa Skrotzki made her season debut after a long injury break. The FrauenElv could have taken the lead with the first attack after a few seconds, Celine Wagner ran alone towards Goecklingen's goalkeeper Anja Kempf, but decided on a cross pass, which Karen Hager could not reach. As a result, Göcklingen was stable, while the FrauenElv struggled to set up the game. After minor changes, the first goal came after 35 minutes: Lara Martin scored from a distance. And then the team started for a storm: Karen Hager after a great combination and presentation by Skrotzki and Celine Wagner increased to 3: 0 before the break, after half time Martin and Selina Wagner scored more goals. Lisa Mayer's direct acceptance then sealed the 7-0 final score.
Next Sunday, November 3, the tough away game at the second in the table TuS Issel is on the program. The FrauenElv is immediately behind in third place.
