SV 07 Elversberg and the all-day community school Neunkirchen are now cooperating with each other in girls' and women's football. GGS Neunkirchen, as the elite football school, is opening a new chapter in its football funding.

The SVE had started its women's soccer project in cooperation with SV Göttelborn in summer 2018 and won the championship with both active teams in the first year (in the Verbandsliga and Bezirksliga Nord) and triumphed in the Saarland Cup. A first youth team will be added in summer 2019. "The girls should receive funding that is comparable to that of boys of the same age in our youth development center," says department head Kai Klankert. His deputy Selina Wagner adds: “And the competition with and against boys is a central component of our concept. That is why the intensive cooperation with GGS Neunkirchen is only logical and consistent. ”The first SVE players will switch to GGS Neunkirchen in the new school year 2019/2020.

The progress in school in terms of football funding is remarkable anyway. "Together with our cooperation partner, the Elversberg Sports Association, we at GGS Neunkirchen have continuously expanded and improved football funding, so that the young footballers at the SV Elversberg youth leadership center receive optimal support in terms of both school and sport," says school director Clemens Wilhelm.

After being certified as an elite football school by the German Football Association in the 2014/2015 school year, GGS Neunkirchen can now point to a remarkable development. Currently, more than 25 players from the SVE youth academy are supervised and taught as pupils at GGS Neunkirchen.

"And the number is increasing more and more," reports sports coordinator and former regional league player Timo Kriegshäuser, "also because there is a lot going on for the talents." So for all players within the elite promotion there are one to two training units in the morning. For this purpose, a permanent SVE trainer is available at the school, who is supported by sports teachers with appropriate soccer licenses. The school also offers athletic training once a week. After class, the driver will take you from the school directly to the SVE training ground. "The pupils completed their tasks while they were still at school and can then concentrate fully on their sport," adds Kriegshausen.

Furthermore, the all-day community school in Neunkirchen cooperates with the German Football Association, the Talent Promotion Saar and the State Sports Association. Together, they offer so-called sports classes for particularly talented athletes, which receive six hours of sport a week. Admission to a sports class takes place via a sports motor aptitude test, which takes place at the end of January.

Now talented girls are also integrated into this special promotion. In this way, they benefit from the existing structures at the school and accordingly find ideal conditions.
