Even if it is still unclear when exactly the 2020/2021 season will start in the Regionalliga Südwest, it is already clear who will wear the SV Elversberg shirt at this time. With Eros Dacaj, SVE has now signed the first new signing for the coming season. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder is moving from SV Rödinghausen, first in the Regionalliga West to Saarland and will receive a two-year contract on the Kaiserlinde until summer 2022.

Post Eros DacajDacaj, born in Northeim in Lower Saxony, who also gained experience in the 2nd Bundesliga, played in his home club JFV Northeim until 2012 and moved to Eintracht Braunschweig as a U17 player. In the youth of the current third division club, the German Kosovar celebrated promotion to the Bundesliga with both the B and A juniors. In 2014/2015, Eros Dacaj, as a U19 player, already had his first experience in the Regionalliga Nord with the second team, for which he was on the pitch in four games. In 2015/2016 he moved up to the second team. In the following three seasons he ran, sometimes as a team captain, 79 times for the second in the regional league; he scored 16 goals and delivered 18 assists. The last year in Braunschweig was very special for Dacaj: In 2017/2018, he drew attention to himself in the first team and made two appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga. He made his debut on August 18, 2017 when he played 1 minutes in the home game against Erzgebirge Aue (1-90). Two years ago, the midfielder finally decided to switch to the western regional league team SV Rödinghausen. For the season's first in the season, the 23-year-old completed 55 competitive games in the (almost) two years, scored a total of nine goals and provided 15 assists.

“Eros Dacaj will continue to strengthen our team next season. He has a strong left foot, a very good overview on the pitch and brings his technical quality to free kicks, ”says SVE sports director Ole Book. Dacaj adds: “I was able to get a first, small overview of the winter test game. I am excited to see what the new season with SV Elversberg will bring and I will definitely do everything I can to help the team and the entire club make progress! ”
