St. Ingbert: The city mourns the loss of Siegfried Thiel

The city of St. Ingbert mourns the late Social Democrat Siegfried Thiel.

Siegfried Thiel was known to many citizens of St. Ingbert due to his political commitment. He was always open to their concerns and concerns.

He was particularly committed to the cultural and historical development of the city of St. Ingbert and was happy to contribute his own ideas to the design of the cityscape. He was also active at the Arbeiterwohlfahrt and in other St. Ingbert associations and thus always promoted social cohesion and togetherness in the city.

Siegfried Thiel began his professional career as a civil servant at the city of St. Ingbert. He also completed a degree in philosophy, which he completed as a master. For many years he had been a regular lecturer at the St. Ingbert Biosphere VHS. He has been a member of the VHS advisory board since 2019 and has also worked actively on the board of trustees of the Albert Weisgerber Foundation.

The committed politician has been chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the local council of St. Ingbert-Mitte since July 2014 and also a member of the district council of the Saarpfalz district. “With Siegfried Thiel, the local councilor of St. Ingbert-Mitte loses an extremely committed local politician who has always cared about the well-being of the citizens. Thanks to his longstanding political, social and cultural commitment, he has made a valuable contribution to our city and its fellow citizens. He was always a competent colleague for me, persistent in the matter, but also willing to compromise. I will never forget his humor and cheerful character, ”said Mayor Irene Kaiser.

The city of St. Ingbert is very grateful to the deceased and will always keep an honorable memory.
