On the seventh matchday of the Landesliga Süd, our second team received FV Püttlingen. A very important game for the team of coach Manuel Dillenburger. Because the guests were tied with us before the match day.

The game started with a huge chance for the "Zwädd". Max Mäs was able to prevail on the right side, Dominik Leo couldn't use his cross properly. The Wambe subsequently took control of the game. They also created good chances, but neither Jonas Fernsner (30th minute) nor Leo (34th) were able to convert them into anything countable. Shortly before the break, the guest was able to take the lead with his first dangerous shot. On the 16th there was not a consistent defense, so a Schlenzer caused the surprising 0: 1 for Püttlingen. So it went into the break.

The home team was not impressed and scored the 1-1 in the 48th minute with a long shot from Jonas Fernsner. In the euphoria of the equalization, Püttlingen almost got the lead again just two minutes later, but the conclusion went well over the gate. But then only the "Zwädd" played again. In the 61st minute the goalkeeper and in the 64th the aluminum saved the guests. Only two minutes later Fernsner was able to turn the game around and make it 1: 2. He sat down well on the left side and was able to push the ball into the far corner. Big chances to decide the game, however, were given too lightly to several. But in the end it was enough to win.

A well-deserved and at the same time very important victory for the second team in the fight to stay in the league. With the win you initially give yourself some room for improvement. In the next game, 1. FC Saarbrücken II, the top team in the league, is waiting for us. In this game you have nothing to lose and you may be in for a surprise.
