In the 4th round of the Sparkassen-Saarlandpokals our 1st team got to do with the fourth in the table of the district league A Saar SV Felsberg on Wednesday evening. The Spvgg. Was warned of the opponent, finally the hosts defeated the league leaders SF Hostenbach and our league competitor VfB Dillingen two higher-class teams. Nevertheless, the goal was clear: move confidently into the next round.
As expected, coach Robin Vogtland made some changes to the starting self. Young Jason Schröder was allowed in the goal and in the field Samuel Ikas, Jens Lorang, Marius Schwartz, Manuel Niebergall and Eric Schön in the starting line-up. From the very first minute, our team showed that they didn't want to burn anything at all. The guests were very low, but the Wambe played the game at high speed and let the ball run properly on the red earth. So the 1-0 in the 14th minute was only a matter of time. After presenting Dominik Engel, Manuel Niebergall met in front of 100 spectators for the tour. After 22 minutes, Sascha Schaum headed ahead of Eric Schön to make it 2-0 for Quierschied.
A few minutes later, Niebergall made it 3-0. He got the ball over to the right from Johannes Reichrath, first put the leather on the crossbar but changed his own rebound. Quierschied then made everything clear before the change of sides. In the 43rd minute, Sascha Schaum scored again to 4: 0. As before, Eric Schön put the ball on him again. And a minute later Lukas Mittermüller even 5-0. The game was already decided at the break. Marcel Schug came for Sascha Schaum.
In the second section, the conditions for players and spectators became a little more uncomfortable, wind and some rain set in. The home eleven continued to fight and wanted to keep the result within limits, while Quierschied remained focused. After 56 minutes, Julian Fernsner came into play for Mittermüller. The game neutralized itself a bit now, with the Saarland league team in control. After 65 minutes, the last change at Spvgg. Marc Maurer came for Domme Engel. Quierschied then had degrees through Schön and Fernsner, but the attempts went well over there. 5 minutes before the end, the last goal of the day was scored, Fernsner scored 6-0 with a shot from 20 meters.
Our team confidently reached the next round and took the 6th competitive win in a row. We wish SV Felsberg every success for the rest of the season. For our Spvgg. It continues in the league on Sunday. At 15:00 p.m. we play at SV Mettlach.
