Robin Vogtland will take over from Daniel Kiefer on July 01st, 2021 at SV Elversberg's Saar youth training center. In January of this year, Kiefer switched to the performance center of Bundesliga club 1. FSV Mainz 05. The 31-year-old Vogtland will now take on the role of trainer and coordinator of the development area in the SVE NLZ Saar.
Vogtland is currently training the first team of Sportfreunde Köllerbach in the Saarland League, which is currently on pause due to corona. After playing as a player at FC Homburg, SVN Zweibrücken, SC Hauenstein and in Köllerbach, Robin Vogtland joined Sportfreunde in 2015/2016 as an assistant coach, and two years later he became player coach in the same position. After a total of four years as a trainer in Köllerbach, the 31-year-old moved to SpVgg Qui Various for the 2019/2020 season, but then returned to SF Köllerbach as a trainer last summer.
“Robin Vogtland is an ambitious, competent and willing person who has already gained a lot of experience as a coach and is very familiar with Saarland and regional football. I am convinced that Robin will fit in well with our coaching team, will grow into his new tasks and will continue the successful work of Daniel Kiefer, ”says Jens Kiefer, head of the Saar NLZ. Robin Vogtland adds: “For me, moving to SVE is a dream come true. In Elversberg, working with young players from morning to night is all about football. That's exactly what I always wanted to do. I had and still have a very good time in Köllerbach, which I would like to bring to a positive end in the next few months. Nevertheless, I am already really looking forward to the new challenge that awaits me from summer. "
