Laurin von Piechowski will stay with SV Elversberg beyond the current season. The 27-year-old defender, whose contract would originally have expired at the end of this season, has prematurely extended it for two more years and will remain at the Kaiserlinde until summer 2023.

Post_LauThe 1,93 meter tall defensive player, who is usually used in central defense, but can also move to the right side or into the defensive midfield, came to Elversberg last summer from the then champions of the Regionalliga West SV Rödinghausen Born in Berlin, among others for SV Babelsberg and Chemnitzer FC in the 3rd league on the pitch. In Elversberg, Laurin von Piechowski earned his permanent place in the team during the current round. After he had been in central defense since October 2020, he was briefly absent from the team at the turn of the year due to a hamstring, but von Piechowski has been back in the starting line-up for eleven games. The defender has played in 21 regional league games and in the DFB-Pokal this season.

“Laurin has shown more and more confidence in the course of the season and is now a good support on our defensive. With his height, he has the physical prerequisites, but also knows how to use them accordingly, wins many duels and with his sovereign and well thought-out style of play doesn't allow much on the field, "says SVE sports director Ole Book:" We are convinced that he will continue to be an important part of the squad and we look forward to the next few years with him. "Laurin von Piechowski adds:" I have now settled in well in Saarland and at SVE, working with the team, the entire team and club runs consistently positive. In terms of sport, we definitely still have room for improvement, but I'm looking forward to taking the next steps together with the SVE and continuing to fight so that we can achieve our goals in the future.
