After the fire disaster in the Greek refugee camp Moria, Saar Prime Minister Tobias Hans (CDU) called for a European solution.

“Moria shows the failure of European refugee policy so far. Moria is not a Greek problem, it is a wake-up call to finally find a pan-European solution, ”said the CDU politician to the newspapers of the Funke media group (Friday editions).

“It is the turn of the European Union and we as part of the European Community now have to get involved. A German solo effort cannot and will not be able to solve the problem in the long run. ”At the same time, Hans declared himself ready to take in refugees. “If Greece needs help, Saarland will also be there to help Greece and, above all, the local people. We have to help especially the weakest, ”said the head of government. "In coordination with the federal government, the Saarland is therefore ready to support Greece in accommodating unaccompanied children and young people and to take these people in need here with us."
