St. Wendel (ots) - On the morning of June 09.06.2020th, 06.50 there was a robbery in the main street at around 2am in a bakery with a small integrated grocery store. There, two young men with masks put on first entered the bakery mentioned above. At that time, the owner was alone in the shop. The two perpetrators approached the woman purposefully, immediately pressing her into a corner. One of the perpetrators pointed a pistol at the woman and asked the woman to open the cash register. The woman immediately complied with this threat and opened the cash register. The perpetrators reached into the cash register and took cash out of it. One of the perpetrators then reached into a cigarette rack at the cash register and took out several packets of cigarettes. Then the perpetrators fled on foot. Here they first crossed an adjacent property and then continued to flee to Rtg. of a forest area. The above owner of the shop was not injured in the robbery. She immediately informed the police after the fact. The first police officers were on the spot shortly after the emergency call was received. Police investigative measures were immediately initiated after the perpetrators. PI St. Wendel also supported several police commands from other departments for these investigative measures. Initially, the search was unsuccessful. However, a short time later, two suspects were spotted and checked in Jahnstrasse. On the basis of the present descriptions and the items carried, the robbery could be assigned to them. They were arrested and taken to the police station. Further processing was carried out there by the local criminal service. The perpetrators are a 2-year-old man from the Freisen municipality and an 19-year-old man from the Baumholder municipality. During the robbery, around 18 euros of cash and several packets of cigarettes were stolen. After the necessary police measures had been carried out, the two perpetrators were released in coordination with the responsible public prosecutor. The police investigation continues.
