Büchenbeuren (ots) - The Tafel in Kirn was delighted to receive a surprising donation of food from the police college. Due to the current pandemic, the educational institution at the Hahn police campus has currently discontinued attendance at Hahn. The Bachelor's degree in police service is currently being offered in digital form and the cafeteria has been closed until further notice. What to do with products that are soon to expire? “It is an important need for us to do something good in the current crisis. Therefore, it is a matter of course for us, the food such as cheese, yogurt, whole egg, butter, cream cheese and much more. donate to the charitable organization Tafel Kirn eV before the expiry date, ”explains the director of the Friedel Durben Police University. The association “Tafel Kirn eV” has set itself the goal of passing on food that has been given to the aid organization free of charge to people in need. The aid organization is supported by numerous volunteers who distribute donated food in Kirn and Bad Sobernheim to around 340 families. The chair, Ellen Kriegel, is very pleased to thank the police college for supporting the initiative “Save food - help people”.
