66687 Wadern (ots) - On Saturday, November 07.11.2020th, 15.00, around 68 p.m., a XNUMX-year-old man from Wadern discovered that he had problems with his computer. Immediately afterwards, an alleged Microsoft employee called and told him that he had a "security problem" on his computer. The caller got the injured party to share various personal data with him. The caller then led the injured party through a program which is presumably used to gain “remote access” to the computer.

The police insisted once again that Microsoft employees do not make such calls and that these are fraudsters.
