The season got off to a successful start. SV Friedrichsthal defeated SV Neunkirchen in the water polo Oberliga 24:11 in Saar-Derbe. The reigning Oberliga champion performed well and started successfully for the "Mission title defense".

After only three minutes, the Friedrichsthal guests were 4-0 up front in the Neunkircher Lakai. The goals were scored by Tobias Bauer, Pascal Hinz and Lukas Mathieu.

Friedrichsthal continued this consistent style of play until the end of the quarter and Oliver Krause outnumbered 9: 1 from the guests' perspective with a wonderful goal. Attacking was a bit calmer in the following game sections, but here, too, the result of four, five and six goals was quite evident, especially since there were several nice and quickly played attacks. Before 16: 5, the ball was played directly and without contact with the water over four stations, so that Yani's artist was able to carry out unhindered. The best shooter in the water was Tobias Bauer with a total of eight goals, which he scored from a wide variety of game situations and positions.

Neunkircher individual campaigns embarrass Friedrichsthal

The owner of Neunkirchen consistently used individual errors in the Friedrichsthal defense. The defensive weakness must be eliminated until the next home game next Friday (13.12.19) against the guests of WSV Ludwigshafen II in order to offer their own spectators a good home game start.

The following played: Manuel Christmann (T), Holger Huber, Yannis Künstle (1 goal / 3 exclusion errors), Pascal Hinz (1/0), Oliver Krause (2/0), Stefan Schmidt (1/2), Andrzej Szczurkiewicz (0/1) , Nico Basters (1/0), Rüdiger Schmadel (2/0), Lukas Mathieu (7/2), Fabrice Wendel (1/0), Niklas Stenger and Tobias Bauer (8/1).
