Stolen from advertisement

Weilerbach (ots) - A pensioner has offered his camera for sale in an advertisement. An interested party came forward. The stranger appeared on Wednesday afternoon to look at the camera.

During the conversation, however, the man became interested in the wristwatch that the senior's wife wore. He examined the watch and showed interest in buying it. In order to be able to check the quality of the watch, the perpetrator asked for a cleaning cloth.

When the victim wanted to get a cloth, the thief took the opportunity and disappeared with the women's watch. The captured piece of jewelry has a value of around 5000 euros.

The senior was able to describe the thief and also observed which car the refugee got into. He could read the license plate and report it to the alarmed police. The investigation of the officials led to a 21-year-old suspect who lives in North Rhine-Westphalia. The investigation is ongoing. | mhm
