On April 17.04.2018, 23.15, around 12:38 p.m. in the Kuchenbergstrasse 14 property in Neunkirchen-Wiebelskirchen, a multi-storey residential and commercial building burned down completely. A XNUMX-year-old resident died in the process, and XNUMX other people had to be rescued from the building with considerable risk to life (four of them injured by flue gas).

The fire investigators at the State Police Headquarters (LPP), with the support of an external expert, found that the fire had started in the wooden staircase on the ground floor. Technical causes could be excluded.

Extensive investigation

The investigation was very extensive and was carried out by the specially created murder commission "Kuchenberg". She identified two male people who were near the scene at the time of the crime.

These are two Neunkirchers aged 29 and 18.

When the two and another witness were questioned yesterday (24.07.2018), the 29-year-old was suspected. A suspicion of crime could not currently be confirmed against the 18-year-old companion. No information can currently be provided on the motive for investigative reasons (pending interrogations).

An arrest warrant for murder in connection with an arson that resulted in death was requested from the public prosecutor. The demonstration in front of the judge is scheduled for this morning.
