Saarbrücken (ots) - In the course of increasing new corona infections in Germany and also in Saarland, the state police headquarters (LPP) has adjusted the infection protection rules for staff and visitors. Employees of some LPP departments are currently also affected by the virus.

After employees from offices in Illingen and Burbach tested positive for the corona virus, all colleagues who were in contact with them were also tested. There was a short-term interruption of operations in the Illingen police station; the ability of the police to react to emergency situations is and was not affected by this.

If necessary, those tested are in quarantine.

Due to the overall development of the pandemic, the hygiene rules for all visitors and employees of all police stations have been adjusted by the state police president, including in particular:

- Mouth and nose covering is mandatory for everyone
Employees in the entire interior of buildings (corridors,
Stairwells, etc.).
- General obligation to wear a mouth and nose cover for
Visitors in all police properties. In
Outside areas can be dispensed with as long as it is worn
the minimum distance of 1,5 m is continuously guaranteed.
- Submission of a self-assessment. Entering police
Real estate is only available after submitting a completed
Self-disclosure and contact tracking forms allowed.
These are at the entrance areas of the respective
Services made available. The modified hygiene measures can, due to the necessary adjustments, lead to slight delays in regular service operations, for example when filing a report at a service center. In this context, the LPP also points out the possibility of using the online guard for this purpose. This can be found on the website of the state police headquarters at:
