Finally it started for our second team in the new league. On the first day of the Landesliga Süd, SC Großrosseln 2 was a guest at the Franzenhaus. They wanted to take the euphoria of the ascent into the new round. However, this was dampened shortly before the game by the failures of player coaches Yannik Eiler and Dominik Leo. However, due to the large squad, this could be compensated for.
The "Zwädd" got off to a flying start. In the first minute, Manuel Dillenburger sent Kai Seewald steep, who turned the goalkeeper and pushed it in to 1-0. Just five minutes later, Hendrik Grätz was able to increase to 2-0 after a cross from Aldo Testa. From then on it only played the wambe. The only chance in the first round of the guests was a free kick to the crossbar (21 minutes). Jonas Elgas headed the 3-0 in the 23rd minute after a corner kick. The completely overwhelmed guests had to accept four more goals in the first half by Julian Fernsner (25th, 40th), Hendrik Grätz (31st) and Kai Seewald (38th). The very good first half was somewhat tarnished by an excessive yellow-red card against Dominik Schaum.
The second run was the complete opposite of the first. Suddenly Großrosseln took command and had scoring chances. After 51 minutes, the guest converted a questionable penalty and only a minute later he was able to reduce it to 7-2. The "Zwädd" did not make a good game in the second half. Maybe it was due to the combination of one man less and the reassuringly high leadership. Except for the 7: 3 in the 90th minute, the game had no more highlights.
A successful debut in the new league and deserved victory of the "Zwädd". However, you clearly saw that you can get problems with only 90% of the effort. Even against opponents you have actually played against the wall. Next week's very difficult away game against top favorite SV Walpershofen. For a long time again a game for the second team in which they have nothing to lose.
