On the penultimate matchday of the Saarbrücken district league, the derby against SV Schnappach was on the program for our second team. With a win you could make the championship at home clear.
The first half started cautiously. The guests were lurking on the counter and the "Zwädd" one noticed the nervousness. Accordingly, there was no real game flow. Sascha Scheid had the first good chance, but it was a good one. After 27 minutes, player coach Yannik Eiler was able to achieve the redeeming 1-0 after a corner kick from the crowd. Just two minutes later, Hendrik Grätz increased the 2-0 after a long ball from the half field. So it went into the break.
The "Zwädd" wanted to quickly put the lid on the game. Tim Leinenweber was able to push in after the cross from Manuel Allard on the 2nd post free-standing to 3: 0. Only the Wambe played and Schnappach concentrated on defending. However, more and more with a hard and sometimes unsportsmanlike gait. However, the league leader was not irritated by this and was able to increase the result by Jonas Fernsner (61.), Justin Bähring (65.), an own goal (73.) and Sascha Scheid (84.). In the end there was a deserved 7-0 win.
This made the championship and the associated promotion to the Landesliga Süd one match day before the end of the season perfect. A huge compliment to this team, which has grown into a unit despite major injuries due to injuries, put up with setbacks and is now fully deserved. After the game there was a good party until late into the night.
