Kaiserslautern (ots) - A man who was handling an ax at the train station in Kaiserslautern triggered a major police operation on Saturday morning. Witnesses reported the man to the police emergency center shortly after ten o'clock. From there, several radio patrols were immediately sent to the station and the Kaiserslautern Federal Police were also notified. The foot patrol of the federal police was able to find and control the 45-year-old not far from the train station entrance. The man, who had already made a considerable appearance, allegedly only wanted to show the tool to his friends who were present. He hadn't thought about the effect of his behavior and so unintentionally triggered the mission. The man was sent off for the station area, which he complied.
