Illingen (ots) - A 9-year-old girl from Hüttigweiler was slightly injured in a traffic accident on Thursday around 15:10 p.m. The girl was walking with a friend of the same age on Provinzialstrasse in Hüttigweiler. She had a bike with her, but she pushed it. She crossed the street at the pedestrian crossing at the junction with Tholeyer Strasse. She was caught by a vehicle that had turned from Tholeyer Strasse into Provinzialstrasse and ignored the red light of the pedestrian traffic lights there. The girl fell and injured her knee. The driver of the car stopped briefly, asked the girl whether everything was okay, but then drove on. The vehicle is said to be a white van. The driver should be around 170 m tall, have light hair and wear glasses.
