Wadern (ots) - A 38-year-old man from Wadern and a 37-year-old woman who also lives in Wadern are accused of two cases of shoplifting and preventing punishment. The two came to a Wadern supermarket at lunchtime on Saturday, accompanied by a second man. There the 38 year old stole a bottle of vodka and fled to the city center of Wadern. A short time later a patrol car crew from the North Saarland police station noticed him there. He had already changed his outer clothing, probably to remain anonymous. In the course of further investigations, it turned out that the man had already stolen baked goods in the same supermarket last Wednesday, October 21.10.2020, XNUMX, but this had not yet been reported. His companion provided the investigating police officers with untruthful information, which is why a criminal complaint was made against her on suspicion of obstruction.
