Munich (ots) - Fuel prices at German petrol stations have decreased slightly compared to last week. As the current evaluation of the ADAC shows, the price for a liter of Super E10 fell by 0,5 cents nationwide on the previous week to EUR 1,191. The price drop for diesel is similar: One liter currently costs an average of 1,057 euros, which is a minus of 0,6 cents. For now, the surge in the petrol pumps, which the ADAC had registered in the past four weeks, has stopped.
Meanwhile, the price of Brent crude has risen significantly for a week and is now around $ 40 a barrel. About four weeks ago, the barrel was less than $ 30.
The ADAC recommends that drivers compare prices regardless of the still low price level before refueling. Anyone who uses the sometimes considerable price differences between different petrol stations and times of the day saves hard cash and also strengthens competition between providers. According to ADAC, the best way to fill up is between 18 p.m. and 22 p.m. The “ADAC Spritpreise” smartphone app offers uncomplicated and quick help.
