Bingen (ots) - As part of a police operation on Schmittstrasse in Bingen in the night from Friday to Saturday, a 48-year-old man landed in the cell. This was preceded by an assault on bodily harm. When the police arrived, the alcoholic suspect approached the officers in an aggressive manner with a broomstick. In addition, the man was clearly armed with knives in his waistband. After threatening the use of a distance electro pulse device, also called "taser", the accused lay down on the floor without resistance. He was arrested and taken to police custody. During the arrest, the suspect's mother hindered the civil servants' activities by refusing to obey them. She also tried to hit the emergency services with her walking stick. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. Several investigations have been initiated.
