The canceled game due to the referee strike against SV Karlsbrunn was made up for last weekend. Our second team wanted to continue their winning streak and thus widen the gap to the relegation zone - the guest was in the first relegation zone.
After six minutes, Manuel Niebergall put a cross from Jonas Fernsner with his head just over the goal. The Wambe determined the initial phase and could take the lead 22-1 through Niebergall after 0 minutes. After losing a ball in their own half, the guests were able to equalize. After that, the "Zwädd" was like a roll. Fabian Wiest was able to thwart the deficit once again (34th minute) before Karlsbrunn was able to take the lead with 38: 1 in the 2th minute after a long-range shot. Only two minutes later the guest increased to 1: 3 by dusting. So it went into the cabins.
The wambe changed twice in the second half, rearranged the system and decided to show a different face. In the 48th minute, however, there was a break in the defense and Karlsbrunn increased to 1: 4. A minute later, Manuel Allard shortened to 2: 4 and you felt again that there could be something in here. Felix Stuppy had the big chance to score after 51 minutes, but the end was too unplaced. The "Zwädd" opened a power play without creating a real chance to score. In the 68th minute the guest increased to a header after a corner kick to 2: 5 and only three minutes later to 2: 6. The last spark of hope was extinguished and not much happened until the end of the game.
After the game, there was great disillusionment. The defeat was deserved, though two goals too high. A big chance to go into the winter break with a thick cushion on the descent ranks was wasted. However, this result should not hide the good first half of the "Zwädd". It was a damper, but you can take it. In the last game of the year next week against the championship leader from Walpershofen, however, you have to stretch again to put a leg on the primus.
