Perl (ots) - On Monday evening, June 22.06.2020, 23, around 00:XNUMX p.m., there was a large-scale deployment for the police, the voluntary fire brigades of the extinguishing districts of the municipality of Perl and for the THW Perl / Obermosel. This was preceded by a notification to the control center in Luxembourg about the sighting of a capsizing boat on the Moselle in the area of the town of Nennig. Extensive search measures were immediately initiated on both the German and Luxembourg sides of the Moselle. Through further evidence, it was also known that fireworks were fired along the banks of the Moselle and that fireworks might also have been shot down by a sports boat. Ultimately, no evidence could be obtained that a boat had actually sunk or capsized in the Moselle, which is why the search measures were finally ended around midnight.
