Saarwellingen (ots) - On Saturday, May 30.05.2020th, 03, around 25:25 am, a XNUMX-year-old driver from Saarwellingen caused a serious traffic accident with a car. The driver, who was accompanied by a relative, collided in Bahnhofstrasse in Saarwellingen due to unsuitable speed and considerable alcoholic influences with a car parked on the side of the road. As a result of the collision, the vehicle overturned and came to a stop after more than XNUMX meters on the roof.
Both vehicle occupants were not injured.
During the road accident recording, the police officers determined that the drunk driver was not in possession of a valid driver's license. His co-driver was also under considerable alcoholic influence. He is also suspected of having instigated the driver to drive.
A blood sample was taken from the accident driver.
The accident vehicles had to be towed on site. Bahnhofstrasse in Saarwellingen was temporarily completely closed for the duration of the accident.
