Now it starts in Saarbrücken: 1. FC Saarbrücken ties Sebastian Jacob to the club for three more years. The 26-year-old striker has scored 57 goals in 42 competitive matches and prepared 11.

Jacob already played in the youth division for FCS and returned to FCS two years ago. He is considered an important part of the team structure of coach Lukas Kwasniok.

Markus Mann says about the contract extension: "We are extremely pleased that we were able to retain Sebastian at 1. FC Saarbrücken, because his very good performances over the past two and a half years have aroused desires in other clubs. All the more reason for his decision for the blue-black is a clear statement to the club and also a message to the environment that we do not want to rest on what we have achieved so far".

Sebastian Jacob adds: "I am really happy about the contract extension. With the promotion to the 3rd division we have reached the big goal of the season and I am ready to continue on the path with the FCS. As a native of Saarbrücken and Saarland, the FCS is a very special club for me. I am proud to belong to the FCS family and look forward to the next years in blue and black".
