FC Homburg sign 20-year-old central defender Jannis Reuss for the new season. He comes from SV Sandhausen.

"Jannis is a very fast and extremely ambitious, young player with high development potential, who was able to get a taste of the pros in Sandhausen. For his age, he already has a high level of cleverness in tackling. Last but not least, we are convinced that Jannis also fits into the team in terms of character“Says sports manager Michael Berndt about the new signing.

Reuss was trained at SpVgg Greuther Fürth and TSG Hoffenheim. Since 2017 he played for Sandhausen first in the U19 and then in the 2nd team of the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg. Here he had 17 appearances.

Most recently he trained with the SV Sandhausen professionals who play in the 2nd Bundesliga and was able to gain experience there.

"I would like to develop myself further in sports and believe that I have the opportunity to do this at a very good level here in Homburg with great teammates. I am a very ambitious player and I can identify with the goals that FC 08 Homburg is pursuing. It goes well together"Says the Bamberg-born.

The contract runs for two years and represents the second new addition for the coming season.

Sports manager Michael Berndt: "We are currently looking for defenders and midfielders to strengthen our squad".
