The EU has agreed with the company Curevac on the delivery of the corona vaccine from the Tübingen-based biotech company.

The EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced on Monday afternoon. One will buy 405 million cans, so von der Leyen.

The efficacy and tolerability of the vaccine is still being tested. It wasn't until noon that the US company Moderna announced that its vaccine was almost 95 percent effective. Last week, the German company Biontech announced an effectiveness of 90 percent. The EU has already secured 300 million vaccine doses from Biontech, and negotiations for up to 160 million vaccine doses are underway with Moderna.
