During a major raid in Berlin, the police arrested three suspects who are said to be connected with the break-in of the historic Dresden Green Vault.

The three German citizens are accused of serious gang theft and arson in two cases, the police said on Tuesday morning. At the request of the Dresden Public Prosecutor's Office, the accused should be brought before the investigating judge during the day.

A total of 18 properties are currently being searched in Berlin, including ten apartments as well as garages and vehicles that are supposed to be in connection with the investigation into the break-in of the historic Green Vault in Dresden. At the center of today's measures is the search for the stolen art treasures and possible evidence, such as storage media, clothing and tools, it said.
