Wadgassen (ots) - In order to cheat an elderly lady for EUR 10.000, a woman pretended to be a police officer on the phone and pretended to the woman that her son had been arrested. The aforementioned amount is required for release. The alleged lawyer of her son had confirmed the statements of the alleged policewoman. The 82-year-old injured party did not trust the two people on the phone and said that she would involve her other son in the phone call. The phone call was then ended by the alleged lawyer.
The police reiterated the need to take appropriate precautionary measures with regard to the widespread "grandchildren" or "calling the wrong police officers". You can find more information on the homepage www.polizei-beratung.de
