Three seriously injured in a head-on collision on the L 401 near Ensheim

Alzey (ots) - On Tuesday (02.06.2020) a head-on collision between two vehicles occurred on the L 14 between Kronkreuz and Ensheim at 55:401 p.m. The 35-year-old Sulzheimer was driving her car on the L 401 from Kronkreuz in the direction of Ensheim when she suddenly came into oncoming traffic for an unknown cause. There she collided with an oncoming car of a 52-year-old from Ober-Flörsheim. In the accident, the two drivers and a 13-year-old passenger were seriously injured and, after receiving emergency medical attention with a rescue helicopter, were taken to nearby clinics. FFW Wörrstadt and Flonheim, the German Red Cross Rescue Service and a rescue helicopter with a total of 24 emergency services were deployed. The L 401 was closed to the rescue measures in both directions for about two hours. Property damage of approximately 20.000 euros was incurred. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
