The Kusel police warns: false waterworkers in the Kusel area

Kusel (ots) - Yesterday afternoon, two men went to residential properties in the Kusel area and pretended to be employees of the public utility company. They pretend they need to check the water quality and pressure. In two cases, the crooks succeed in entering the residential property with consent. By involving the residents in checking the connections, the wrong second waterworker can search through cabinets for possible stolen property.

In the reported cases, however, this was noticed by the residents and the people were expelled from the property. There was no damage. The tricksters were traveling in a blue car.

The municipal utilities emphasize that their employees always present themselves with a company ID. In addition, the white public utility vehicles with the appropriate sticker are always used. Mr. Beck, managing director of Stadtwerke, confirms that no water meters are currently being changed. If they have any concerns, those affected can inquire about the actual assignment of the workers by calling 06381-42070.

Please send information about the two people or the blue vehicle used to the Kusel police on 06381-9190 or by email to | pikus
