Alzey (ots) - The summer holidays in Rhineland-Palatinate are just around the corner and although this year the vacation planning for many - due to the pandemic - turns out differently, trips within Germany or partly abroad can be planned and reached again. To ensure that you enjoy your vacation to the fullest this year and do not have to worry about the security of your home, you should take precautionary measures to protect against burglary. Despite the generally low number of burglaries, criminals take advantage of this favorable opportunity when the residents are clearly absent and give some vacationers a bad awakening.
The police headquarters in Mainz therefore generally advises to observe the following principle: Make your home appear inhabited during your absence and take care of each other in the neighborhood!
With a few simple tips, you can ensure that you can go on vacation relaxed. This reduces the risk of falling victim to a burglary:
- Do not leave notes of your absence and
