The DAX started trading on Friday mixed.

Around 9:30 a.m., the index was calculated at 13.240 points, 0,2 percent stronger than at the end of Thursday. In terms of numbers, winners and losers were balanced.

Price gains at the start of trading at Covestro, Adidas and SAP contrasted in particular with discounts in car values. There, the announcement by VW subsidiary MAN that it would cut almost ten thousand jobs and possibly relocate production did not cause euphoria. VW shares fell by almost one percent in the first few minutes of trading, and BWM, Daimler and, in particular, the supplier Continental were clearly in the red, although the MAN shares not listed in the DAX rose around one percent at the same time. The European common currency trended a little stronger on Friday morning.

One euro cost $ 1,1839 (+0,15 percent).
