The Corona app from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) is downloaded less often.

This is shown by figures from the Federal Ministry of Health. In the 44th calendar week, 801.000 downloads were recorded, a week later - with the start of the current lockdown - only 590.000. A total of 22,4 million downloads have been registered so far, how many of them are multiple downloads by individual users is unknown.

Around 60.000 people who tested positive warned others via the app until last Thursday, corresponding to around 7,8 percent of all registered infected people. In the 45th calendar week alone, there were around 15.000 warnings, corresponding to 11,8 percent of all newly infected people tested in the corresponding period. About 90 percent of the test laboratories are directly connected to the Corona warning app, according to the ministry.
