PI Saarbrücken-Stadt (ots) - On Saturday, April 17.04.2021th, 05, around 40:620 a.m., there was a traffic accident on the BAB 22 in the area of ​​the Wilhelm-Heinrich-Brücke in the direction of Mannheim. According to the current state of the investigation, a 29-year-old woman from Mettlach suddenly moved from the left to the right lane for an unknown reason and collided with the car of a 22-year-old woman from Sulzbach. The 29-year-old's car overturned as a result of the collision and lay on the roof. The 22-year-old's car skidded and collided with the wall on the right. The 29-year-old was initially trapped in her car, but was freed from her vehicle by the arriving rescue workers. Even the XNUMX-year-old could not leave her car on her own because the doors were badly deformed. She was freed from her vehicle by the fire brigade.
Both women were immediately taken to nearby hospitals. The person who caused the accident was slightly injured and the 29-year-old party involved in the accident was seriously injured.
In the course of the accident recording and rescue work, the BAB 620 was completely closed in the said area for approx. 2,5 hours.
An expert was called in.
In connection with the recording of the accident, we are still looking for witnesses who noticed the incident directly and asked to contact the Saarbrücken-Stadt police station.
