Wadern (ots) - On Wednesday, April 21.4.2021, 00.20 at 19:2 a.m., an injured person was reported to the North Saarland police station in Wadern-Lockweiler. At the site, the officers were able to find a 19-year-old man who was seriously injured. According to him, he was walking home with 19 other people when a casual acquaintance drove up in his car. The man got out of the car and hit him in the face without a word, and his two companions had already fled at the time. When he wanted to fend off the attacker, the man went back to the car and got a knife from the trunk. With that he came back and threatened to stab him if he didn't hand over his shoulder bag. The XNUMX-year-old was initially able to flee and the perpetrator drove away in the car, but came back shortly afterwards, got out and hit the XNUMX-year-old and also kicked him when he was already on the ground. After grabbing the shoulder bag, he drove away in the car.
Based on the information provided by the injured party, the officers were able to find the perpetrator at his home address. The stolen property was also seized from him. The man, a 24-year-old from Cologne, who is currently in Wadern, was temporarily arrested and taken to the office. There he put up considerable resistance to the ordered blood sampling, but no officers were injured.
The injured man was taken to a clinic, where he had to be operated on because of the injuries.
The perpetrator can expect criminal charges for robbery, resistance to law enforcement officers and driving a motor vehicle under the influence of narcotics.
