Neunkirchen; City center (ots) - In the city center of Neunkirchen, a dispute between 2 young Syrians (22 and 24 years old) escalated on the open street on Saturday afternoon. At around 16:30 p.m., the police were informed via an emergency call that there had been an argument between two men. Several shots were also fired. One of the men had fled and carried a black pistol. The Neunkirchen police forces were able to locate both people. A blank firing weapon and a bayonet (blade length approx. 20 cm) were seized. As it turned out, the two opponents were men who were already known to the police. When they met in downtown Neunkirchen, there was initially a verbal argument. While one of the participants pulled a jackknife (bayonet) out of his pocket, his counterpart pulled a blank gun. 3 shots were fired and both left the location. The 24-year-old went to the police station immediately after the incident. The knife could be seized from him. The 22-year-old was arrested in front of his home address in Neunkirchen. The alarm gun was found in a mailbox there and secured. After the police measures had been completed and a risk assessment had been carried out, the people were released again. Both men were slightly injured in the incident.
Proceedings due to dangerous bodily harm, violations of the weapons law, threats and insults have been initiated.
Due to the shots fired and the loud argument, several passers-by and residents were frightened, looked for cover and hid. These could then be calmed down again by the emergency services.
Since March 17.03.21th, 17.03.21st there have been several missions with the two men. Mutual bodily harm, threats and insults were committed. Among other things, there was a police operation on March XNUMXth, XNUMXst in a fast-food restaurant in Neunkirchen. Here the two brawlers attacked each other with the disinfectant dispenser and frying basket and injured each other. The background is probably outstanding pecuniary claims.
