A 56-year-old male perpetrator from Düsseldorf stole ten bottles of perfume worth 925,50 euros. The perpetrator deposited the ten bottles of perfume in a leather handbag that he had carried with him, which he had lined with aluminum foil in order to bypass the electronic security at the cash register.
The perpetrator was observed by an employee during the commission of the crime and then placed in the checkout area by the shop detectives. Another male was with the perpetrator, but he was able to escape on foot.
In the subsequent investigations, it was found that the 56-year-old perpetrator is also suspected of stealing in branches of the same drugstore chain in Karlsruhe (stolen goods: perfume worth EUR 1419) and in Ettlingen (stolen goods: perfume in value of 867 EUR) on April 14.04.2021th, XNUMX. The footage from the surveillance cameras of these acts is still being evaluated.
The investigation into the possible second perpetrator is still ongoing.
