Dittelsheim-Heßloch (ots) - A 58 year old man from Dittelsheim-Heßloch heard a loud bang from the street on Sunday morning at 07:40 a.m. During the subsequent review, he found that another road user had driven against his car parked in Bahnhofstrasse and then fled. However, the person who caused the accident had lost his license plate at the scene of the accident. At first, a police patrol could only find the badly damaged car at the stop address, as well as the wife of the owner. After the officials contacted the 43-year-old man by phone, he finally came back to his apartment and turned himself over to the police. A breath alcohol test showed a value of 2,25 per thousand, which is why a blood sample was taken from him. The man is also not in possession of a valid driver's license.

Substantial damage to property occurred on the two cars involved in the accident. This is estimated at approx. EUR 8000.
