The President of the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (BBK), Christoph Unger, is apparently to be replaced.

Federal Minister of the Interior Horst Seehofer (CSU) decided that, reports the RBB-Inforadio, citing its own information. The reason is probably the nationwide warning day last week.

There had been technical problems with the test alarm. The alarm arrived late. The Federal Ministry of the Interior had therefore described the warning day as a failure. Unger has been President of the Federal Office since 2004.
